Here is a Detailed Look at How We Work Together

Frequently asked questions about immigration and legal assistance in Spain

What is the difference between a 180-day visa and a 365-day visa?

If your study program lasts up to 180 days (for example, short-term language courses), you will receive a visa that does not require you to apply for a TIE (Residence Card) in Spain. If the program lasts more than 180 days, you will receive a 90-day Type D visa, which you can use to enter Spain and then apply for a TIE within one month.

Can I work while I'm in school?

Yes, the law allows students to work up to 30 hours a week, provided the job is compatible with their studies and they have the appropriate authorization. We can help you obtain that authorization.

Can my family come with me?

Yes, you can include your spouse and minor children in the application. However, for each family member, you will need to demonstrate additional financial resources (75% of the IPREM for the first family member and 50% for each subsequent one).

What kind of health insurance is required for a visa?

You need a policy from an insurance company accredited in Spain. The insurance must be valid for the entire duration of your stay, provide comprehensive coverage (including hospitalization), and have no copayments (sin copagos). We provide a list of verified insurance companies.

What should I do if my visa application is denied?

If your application is denied, the consulate must provide a written explanation of the reasons. You have the right to file an appeal within one month. We specialize in analyzing the reasons for denial and preparing appeals.

Can I stay in Spain after I finish my studies?

Yes, that is possible. After three years of continuous residence on a student visa, you can convert it to a residence permit with the right to work, provided you have an employment contract. Also, after you graduate, you can apply for a special residence permit to look for a job or start your own business.
